Awards Committee Report

The Award Committee has been busy preparing for the Awards Banquet on Monday evening, April 4, 2011 during the2011 Spring Conference.
The committee members are:
Erin Dinneen, Vice Chair
Susan Stephenson
Theresa Haarberg
Brien Alley
Corrine Combs

In February we updated the nomination website and sent out emails encouraging our members to nominate someone for the 2011 Spring conference. Additional emails were sent out in the following weeks for reminders. Nomination were closed as of March 18th. We did receive at least 2 nominations for every award.
During the banquet we have many things planned. Terri Graham, the president will be awarding the Distinguished Service Award. There will also be several fun awards given out and even a game.
We will be giving out the years of service awards the following day during lunch. At this time we will also be recognizing the Babies and Grandbabies.
We have also put together the “fill the backpack” campaign to honor Tammi Preston. There will be a table at the time of registration where the members will be able to drop off their donations. We will be letting everyone know how much was collected at the Awards Banquet.

Respectfully Submitted
Misten Thompson - Awards Committee Chair
