NeASFAA Strategic Directions – updated and ratified January 31, 2020
In June 2013, the NeASFAA Board of Directors embarked on a journey under the leadership of NeASFAA President Matt Johnson to focus the efforts of the board and committees in serving the association. This was the first such document the NeASFAA board attempted to draft – at least in recent history. It was the board’s hope this document would give both direction and inspiration to the board and its committees by laying out a path with some short term goals to follow. All of the directions in the document were an attempt to put into practical action the mission and vision of NeASFAA as defined in the Bylaws and Policies & Procedures.
Marty Habrock’s (2018-2019 NeASFAA President) goal was to bring the original Strategic Directions document up to date and streamline it to provide overarching goals that would guide the association going forward. The Board members and committee leaders spent much time in discussion and evaluation during the 2018-2019 and 2019-2020 terms, with the final document ratified by the Board on January 31, 2020.
As with Matt’s original idea, it is the expectation that all board members and committee members become familiar with this document and know what sections are especially applicable to their committee or board position. The document represents the values of the association and identifies ways in which the organization adheres to its mission and vision.
